In a unexpected crossover event that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the obscurity." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine sect.
The adventure centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
